Kuai Lu Industrial Park, situated in Dagang District and with a total planned area of 8 square kilometers, is being jointly developed by the Administrative Committee of Zhenjiang New Area and Shanghai Kuai Lu Investment Co., Ltd. The first-phase development area will be 5 square kilometers. This park is aimed at introducing foreign investment and is focused on developing such perspective industries as electronic information, medicine, environment protection, new materials, special electro-mechanical products, logistic distribution and delivery, etc. so as to extend the industrial chains and expand the industrial group. Kuai Lu Industrial Park has also invested USD480,000 in inviting the USA Lary Design Co., Ltd----one of the top ten design companies in the world---- to make a conceptual planning of the park. It is estimated that the first-phase development of 5 square kilometer area will be completed in 2007. The investment density of enterprises in the Park is expected to reach USD300,000 per mu.
