Mode of water supply
The mode of water supply in Zhenjiang New Area is looped network water supply to guarantee unremitting water supply and avoid deterioration of backwater.

Water supply ability
In Dagang District, there established a 30,000 tonnage waterworks with a daily water supply capacity of 30,000 tons and a hydraulic pressure of 3.5 kg/cm2. The water supplied is tested according to GB5750-85 (Standard Testing Methods for Living & Drinking Water). A waterworks with a daily water supply capacity of 100,000 tons, which is under planning, will soon break ground. Its main outfall pipes are nodular cast iron pipes with a diameter of 1,200mm.
The daily water supply capacity in Dingmao District is 70,000 tons and the hydraulic pressure is 1.4kg/cm2. The water supplied is tested according to GB5750-85 (Standard Testing Methods for Living & Drinking Water). Dingmao District is covered by Zhenjiang urban tap-water network and the outfall pipes are nodular cast iron pipes with a diameter of 800mm.
Foreign enterprises in Zhenjiang New Area are exempt from capacity expanding fee.
Enterprises that consume large quantity of water can get water directly from the Changjiang River upon approval of relevant authorities concerned.
