Mode of heat supply
For enterprises with the demand of heat supply, Zhenjiang New Area adopts a central heating mode to supply clients with saturated steam.

Heat supply ability
There is a heating and power plant with three furnaces and two generating units in Dingmao District, Zhenjiang New Area. The total installed capacity of one of the generating units is 6,000 kilowatt and that of the other is 7,500 kilowatt. The total steam supplying capacity of the three furnaces is 80 tons per hour and the outlet pressure is over 8 kilograms. A new heating and power plant with two 6,000 kilowatt generating units and two 70 tonnage furnaces will be built in Dagang District. The new heating and power plant will be put into operation in the first season of 2004.
Heat for production purposes can be supplied to enterprises in Zhenjiang New Area by the heating and power plants.

Heat supply parameters
The outlet pressure of saturated steam is over 8 kilograms and the steam pressure is 1.0 MPA-1.2MPA.

Management of facilities
Concerning heat supply facilities, decentralized administration at different levels is adopted in Zhenjiang New Area.
The property of the heat supply system is divided according to the separation of the property rights between clients and heating power companies. Clients are responsible for the pipelines and facilities needed within their domain of maintenance and management while heating power plants are responsible for the rest of the pipelines and facilities need.
