Zhenjiang New Area is highly developed in traffic. There is a crisscross network of highways in Zhenjiang New Area. The total length of various urban highways is up to over 60 kilometers. These highways are connected respectively with Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway (connected with two entrances and exits, one is 3 kilometers away from Dingmao District, the other is 15 kilometers away from Dagang District), Yangzhou-Liyang Expressway, National Highways No. 312 and No. 104 and Yanjiang Highway. The ＾Through-highway Supervision Stations￣ set up by the Customs in 2002 enables the relevant Customs procedures for goods by land to be handled within Zhenjiang New Area, thus simplifying the Customs-clearing process. The Zhenjiang-Yangzhou Changjiang River Bridge , which is now under construction, will further strengthen the radiation effect of enterprises in Zhenjiang on the markets in Northern Jiangsu and North China .
