With the approval of Jiangsu Provincial Government, Zhenjiang High & New-tech Industrial Park was established on June 20, 2003 . The total planned area is 20 square kilometers. So far, up to 500 million yuan(RMB) has been invested in the construction of infrastructure. In the first-phase, 3.33 square kilometers of the park has been developed and such basic facilities as roads, water supply, power supply, drainage system, communication system, steam, gas, etc. are available. The park lays focus on introducing high and new tech enterprises in such fields as opto-electronic information technology, new materials and biomedicine. Now an industrial structure featuring food and beverage, precision casting, electronic processing, automobile parts & accessories and laser electronic technology has taken shape.
